The William Negake Post 1329 of the Veterans Of Foreign Wars building, 802 S. State St., in Hart has seen better days and is in need of repairs and building improvements totaling over $25,000.

With that in mind the owners of Kristi’s Pour House in Hart, George and Kristi Sadler, are challenging area businesses to take part in their “Little at a Time” fundraiser to benefit the Hart VFW’s repair and building maintenance fund.

The Sadlers are hoping to get the area business community involved in this special project that will assist area veterans and help promote local businesses.

The idea behind “Little at a Time” is that each participating business would donate a small amount of money per customer or transaction at their establishment. The money would be deposited by the business each month in to a special bank account with 100 percent of the money going towards the VFW’s repair and building maintenance fund.

Special window decals will be provided to all participating businesses so the public knows they, along with the business is helping area veterans.

It is hoped that a minimum of $25,000 can be raised by July 5.
