Emergency Response

Joseph W. Paxson, 51, of Wellsboro, was injured when he crashed his 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Route 15, Liberty Township Wednesday morning, Aug. 14.

According to state police at Mansfield, Paxson was traveling through a sweeping right hand turn in the left lane near the Sebring exit, when the bike traveled onto the berm and the rumble strips, causing him to lose control of the bike and travel into the median.

Paxson came off the bike, landing in the grass median. The bike continued south in the median after Paxson came off to it. The bike flipped and then slid to rest against the safety cables along the east side of the median.

Paxson was transported to UPMC Williamsport by Liberty Volunteer Fire Department for treatment of his injuries.
