On Aug. 6, the Dairy Queen restaurants in Hamilton and Carthage held a fundraiser for the Hancock County Food for Thoughts program. Teddi Clark, of Carthage, coordinated the fundraiser, and she thought the plan was for the Dairy Queens to donate 10 percent of profits for the day.

The Port Allegany Rotary Club hosted the McKean County Fair Queens at their July 27 meeting.   The girls gave a rundown of the activities happening at the 2017 fair taking place Aug. 13 - 19 at the McKean County Fairgrounds in Smethport.  They also showed off their talent and introduced themselves to the club.
